Sunday, January 22, 2012. His Eminence, Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim celebrated the Holy Qurobo (Divine Liturgy) at 10:30 AM, at St. Athanasius Church in Tarpon Springs, FL. He was assisted by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. John George Kouki, the deacons and the choir of the Church. January 2012 meeting of the Archdiocesan Executive Council

The Archdiocesan Executive Council held its first meeting of 2012 on January 18th at the Archdiocesan Complex in Teaneck, New Jersey. Dr. Yamo Deniz, the president of the Council chaired the officers meeting, which reviewed several reports and finalized the agenda of the Council.

The meeting started with an opening prayer by His Eminence. The Archdiocese Hosts the Biannual Meeting of the Oriental Orthodox Churches

On Tuesday, January 17, members of the Standing Conference of the Oriental Orthodox Churches met at the Archdiocesan offices in Teaneck, NJ for their biannual meeting. His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim welcomed the participant hierarchs and clergy on behalf of Eastern Archdiocese. Archdiocesan Executive Council Holds its Last Session for 2011

The Archdiocesan Executive Council held its last session of 2011, meeting on December 19th at the Archdiocesan Complex in Teaneck to discuss two major issues at hand. These include the Youth Director position for the Archdiocese and amendments to the parish by-laws.

His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim and the Council membership received a progress report on the Youth Ministry initiative and the selection process for a Youth Director. His Eminence Paid a Pastoral Visit to Roanoke Virginia

On Saturday, December 10, His Eminence Archbishop Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim paid a pastoral visit to at Saint Philoxenus of Mabug Church in Ranoke, VA to celebrate the patron-Saint’s Day. A large crowd of parishioners and friends of the parish gathered together for the 4th Annual Dinner Party, organized by the families of the church. During this occasion His Eminence Cyril emphasized to the attendees the importance of keeping the Syriac heritage and church traditions alive in our daily lives.

His Eminence Celebrates the Holy Liturgy in Chicago, Illinois

Sunday, December the 4th, His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim celebrated the Holy Qurobo (Divine Liturgy ) at St. John the Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. The church was crowded with parishioners from all over the area. Rev. Fr. Yacoub Youhanoun assisted His Eminence with the deacons and the choir. The sermon was about the birth of St. John the Baptist, the forerunner of the Master and the patron saint of the parish. His Eminence congratulated the parishioners on the birth of their patron-saint and later joined them for lunch in the church hall.

On Friday, December the 2nd, 2011, His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim paid a pastoral visit to St. Helen’s Parish in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had a meeting and dinner with the parishioners, which included prayers, hymns and a session of questions & answers.
