47th Annual Archdiocesan Convention of The Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch In North America

Dear Board of Trustees President:

As you know this year’s Archdiocesan Convention is being hosted by St. Mark’s Cathedral. We are asking you to MARK YOUR CALENDER FOR THURSDAY, JULY 29TH THROUGH SUNDAY, AUGUST 1ST. Save those dates from now so as to avoid any scheduling conflicts with the convention weekend.

His Eminence Meets with Reverend Father James Teti, Pastor of The Church of The Annunciation on Midland Ave, Paramus, NJ

On Friday April 20th, His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim met with Reverend Father James Teti, Pastor of The Church of The Annunciation on Midland Ave, Paramus, NJ. The meeting included Very Reverend Father John Meno, Reverend Father Joseph Chamoun, Mr. Naim Ghassali and Mr. Abdelahd Denho.

His Eminence Discussed the building plans with Father James, and together went on a tour through the Archdioceses center. Father James assured His Eminence his support and gave his pledge to help in anyway he can. His Eminence celebrates New Sunday at St. Ahanasius Parish in Tarpon Springs, Florida

On Sunday, April 11 His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim celebrated Holy Qurbono (Divine Liturgy) at St. Athanasius Church in Tarpon Springs FL. He was assissted by the Parish priest, Rev. Fr. John Kouki and a large number of deacons. During the service His Eminence higlighted the role which St. Thomas the apostle played in the spread of the Christian faith. He stressed the importance of the resurrection of the lord in our life and the duty of discipleship of evey Christian.
