Silver Jubilee Convention of the Malankara Archdiocese

The Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America held its 25th convention and family conference in Somerset, New Jersey from July 22-25 under the leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Mor Titus Yeldho. Around two thousand, parishioners participated in this historical event. His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim was also invited to this blessed occasion. His Eminence addressed the Clergy Council meeting on Saturday morning, highlighting the role of a priest as a mediator between the Lord and His people. In the Afternoon, His Eminence walked in the long procession leading to the public meeting. At the public meeting He conveyed the greetings and best wishes of our Archdiocesan family congratulating the Malankara Archdiocese on this milestone event in its history and wishing them all further success and growth under the leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Yeldho.

On Sunday the 25th, Archbishop Karim participated in the Holy Qurobo, which was celebrated on 25 altars representing the 25 years of the Malankara parishes’convention.
