Dr. Babu Paul Bar Eeto Breero Visits the Archdiocese
Sunday afternoon, on the 25th of July, His Eminence Mor Titus Yeldho, Archbishop of the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America, visited the Archdiocesan Headquarters in Teaneck, New Jersey. His Eminence was accompanied by Rev. Fr. Delish and Dr. Babu Paul, a prominent member of our Church in India, who was conferred with the title Bar Eeto Breero (faithful son of the church) by His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East. Dr. Babu Paul held several prominent positions as a Chief Secretary in the State of Kerala. Dr Babu Paul shared his wisdom and experience in the service of the Holy Church as a son of a Coreopiscopos, an acknowledged, eloquent preacher, prolific writer and a respectable politician and statesman in India. He also shared the fond memories he had with His Holiness the Patriarch. Later Archbishop Karim took his guests to the New Archdiocesan Center in Paramus. He gave them a tour of the property and showed them the plans of the New Center, and the construction plans for the new St. Mark’s Cathedral and social hall. Present also was Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun, the assistant parish priest of St. Mark’s cathedral.
