His Eminence Celebrates the Holy Liturgy in Chicago, Illinois
Sunday, December the 4th, His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim celebrated the Holy Qurobo (Divine Liturgy ) at St. John the Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. The church was crowded with parishioners from all over the area. Rev. Fr. Yacoub Youhanoun assisted His Eminence with the deacons and the choir. The sermon was about the birth of St. John the Baptist, the forerunner of the Master and the patron saint of the parish. His Eminence congratulated the parishioners on the birth of their patron-saint and later joined them for lunch in the church hall.

On Saturday, December 10, His Eminence Archbishop Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim paid a pastoral visit to at Saint Philoxenus of Mabug Church in Ranoke, VA to celebrate the patron-Saint’s Day. A large crowd of parishioners and friends of the parish gathered together for the 4th Annual Dinner Party, organized by the families of the church. During this occasion His Eminence Cyril emphasized to the attendees the importance of keeping the Syriac heritage and church traditions alive in our daily lives.
