On August 2nd, 2014, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received the president of the Bible Society in Lebanon and Syria Dr. Mike Bassous in the patriarchal residence in Atchaneh, Bikfaya, Lebanon. Mr. Bassous was accompanied by the member of the administrative board representing the Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch Dr. Malko Dunia and the president of the Syria Chapter Mr. Georges Andrea.

On August 2nd. 2014, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received Mr. Moussa Asmar accompanied by Rev. Fr. Abdo Badawi and Rev. Fr. Elias Khalifeh in the patriarchal residence in Atchaneh, Bikfaya, Lebanon. The meeting was also attended by some bishops from our church.

On Sunday August 3rd, 2014, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Qurbono (Divine Liturgy) in St. Gabriel Church in Ajaltoun – Mount Lebanon on the occasion of the Feast day of the patron of the church, St. Gabriel.

Upon his arrival, His Holiness was received at the outer entrance of the church by the music band of the Lebanese Syriac Scouts and entered the church in a procession.

On August 16, 2014, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended the concluding ceremony of the third annual Youth Summer Club in Sadad. The Summer Club included this year more than 800 young people aged between 5 and 17. This Club is sponsored by His Eminence Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Environs and organized by Rev. Fr. Rabban Boutros Al-Kassis.
